Meghan Stamper ’08

Outstanding Young Alumna Award
As Director of Talent Pipeline Programs for Bank of America, Meghan Stamper drives the bank’s Applied Technology Program (ATP) in partnership with UNC Charlotte. The 17-month internship program, designed to provide hands-on experience in technology and prepare students for a long-term career at Bank of America, has flourished under Stamper’s leadership, with up to 95% of ATP graduates being placed in full-time roles at the bank upon graduation.
“Meghan has gone above and beyond to grow this program and its awareness both at UNC Charlotte and Bank of America, with the intent to help more students access such an amazing opportunity,” says Joy Paige Springs, Director of Corporate Relations at UNC Charlotte. “She has influenced and inspired others to become engaged or recommited to UNC Charlotte.”
Stamper has worked tirelessly to support the creation of the Bank of America Applied Technology Program Women in Business and Technology Scholarship, which offers students a competitive scholarship that can help reduce the burden of paying for tuition and expenses.
In 2015, Stamper founded the Bank of America UNC Charlotte Alumni Network, providing opportunities for over 1,100 alumni to connect with one another and UNC Charlotte on a regular basis. She has done all of this while co-chairing an enterprise-wide committee to deliver multiple high–impact, high-volume events across Bank of America’s Leadership, Education, Advocacy and Development (LEAD) for Women Employee Network. Stamper also designs programs to enhance the Diversity & Inclusion efforts across Global Technology & Operations.
“Along with her talent at making great connections with others is Meghan’s leadership style. She is able to maintain a perfect balance of professionalism yet still be approachable and relatable,” said Lina Gibson, 2017 graduate of ATP. “She sets challenging goals and empowers others to set them as well.”
Stamper earned her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communications from UNC Charlotte in 2008. As a student, she served as president of Students in Free Enterprise and interned in multiple non-profit and development-based organizations including Blumenthal Performing Arts Center and the Levine Museum of the New South.
“Meghan is truly someone with the heart, commitment and desire to drive excellence,” says husband and fellow Bank of America emloyee Jonathan Stamper ’07. “Meghan has been able to give back to her company, her family, her community and UNC Charlotte passionately and directly. What she has been able to achieve since her graduation at UNC Charlotte has been outstanding.”
