Scott Price ’87

Distinguished Alumni Award

– A proud Niner, Scott received his B.A. in business administration in 1987. At UNC Charlotte, he balanced his studies with working full-time managing a hotel—a testament to his early dedication. He later earned an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

Today, Scott is the Group Chief Executive of DFI Retail Group, a multi-sector retailer based in Hong Kong that operates in 13 Asian markets. With over 30 years of global experience, Scott has built a career marked by visionary leadership and relentless innovation.

His generosity has profoundly impacted UNC Charlotte. In 2019, he established the Scott and Shizuko Price Gold Rush Grant Endowment to help students nearing graduation. His support for the “Road to Hire” scholarship program further reflects his commitment to student success.
