For the Love of Charlotte builds powerful momentum, achieving remarkable milestones.

UNC Charlotte has taken a significant step in enhancing its community engagement and research initiatives by establishing a Board of Visitors.

Charlotte community leaders Gené and Fred Klein have made a transformational $10 million investment in the College of Science at UNC Charlotte. The funding will support scholarships, professorships, faculty recruitment and research in the newly established college.

Congratulations to the 2022 recipients of the 49er Alumni Campus Employee Award recipients — Sarah Richardson ’13, Allison Sigmon ’08, Kelly Weatherman ’88 and Scott Plunkett ’05. 

One summer morning, Claire Patrick ’22 and her mentor, urban geographer Colleen Hammelman, settled in at a Colombian bakery on Atlanta’s Buford Highway. A bell over the door chimed an alert to people’s comings-and-goings, while the aroma of oranges scented the air in the bustling, inviting neighborhood spot.

UNC Charlotte’s young alumni are making advances in their fields and communities. Ten outstanding alumni were recognized at the fifth annual 10 Under Ten Awards ceremony sponsored by the UNC Charlotte Young Alumni Chapter Thursday, Oct. 20.
