There are many incredible UNC Charlotte alumni making a difference in their professions and communities. To honor these alumni and friends who have distinguished themselves with significant professional accomplishments or through extraordinary service to their communities, the Alumni Association offers three award ceremonies: the Alumni Awards, the Black Alumni Chapter Excellence in Leadership Awards and the 10 Under Ten Awards.

If you know of an alum deserving of one of these awards, please complete the award nomination form. The deadline for nominations is August 31, 2024. Nominations received after the deadline will be considered for the 2026 award ceremonies.

The UNC Charlotte Alumni Awards was established in 1985 to recognize those who have made important contributions to the establishment and growth of UNC Charlotte, embody the core principles of the University and have distinguished themselves through their outstanding service to the University, their chosen field, humanity and/or society. The Alumni Awards are the highest honor the university bestows upon an alum.

Presented by the UNC Charlotte Black Alumni Chapter (BAC), the Excellence in Leadership Awards program was established in 2011 under the leadership of former BAC President Dr. Gregory Davis ’76. It recognizes the accomplishments of UNC Charlotte alumni who have achieved excellence in their community or chosen profession. Each year, recipients are awarded within the program’s 10 categories.
