Alumni Tailgates are held at the Hauser Alumni Pavilion on campus prior to home football games. Join fellow Charlotte alumni, families, friends and fans to celebrate your 49er pride with us before the game with mouthwatering food and drinks and exciting pre-game Niner Nation football traditions.

Welcome to Alumni Tailgates, where all 49er fans are invited to join us at the Hauser Alumni Pavilion on campus! Celebrate your 49er pride with us before each home football game with mouthwatering food, drinks and exciting pre-game Niner Nation football traditions.
Your Alumni Tailgate ticket includes TWO (2) full hours of the following for each home game:
- Full buffet, including dessert
- Beer, wine, soft drinks and bottled water
- Special “Chalk Talk” season update from a 49er Coach
- Entertainment (band or DJ!)
- Visits from our UNC Charlotte Spirit Squad, including:
- The Charlotte 49ers cheerleaders and Gold Dusters dance team
- A spirited performance by the “Pride of Niner Nation” Marching Band
- Games and swag giveaways!

Home Tailgate
What time does the Alumni Tailgate start?
Tailgate begins 2.5 hours before each home game and lasts for 2 hours. (e.g. If the game starts at 4:00 p.m., the tailgate will start at 1:30 p.m. and last until 3:30 p.m.).
Where is the Alumni Tailgate located?
Located at the Hauser Alumni Pavilion, located on the corner of Cameron Blvd. and Phillips Road.

Are season passes available for the Alumni Tailgate?
No, season passes are not available for the 2025 season.
How can I get to the Alumni Tailgate? Where can I park?
The light rail is one of the easiest ways to get to campus! The JW Clay station is the closest stop to the stadium. The Niner Transit Football Shuttle is another great transportation option. It starts running two hours before kick-off and ends one hour after the game ends.

Is the Alumni Tailgate family friendly?
Yes! Children of all ages are welcome to attend the tailgate with an adult present. In the past, select tailgates included children activities such as a face painter, inflatables and more! We will also have a variety of food options for everyone to enjoy.
Does my registration for the Alumni Tailgate come with a game ticket?
No. Game tickets are sold separately through our Athletics department. Please click HERE for more information on game tickets.
How do I receive my tailgate ticket?
There are no physical tickets to the Alumni Tailgate. All you need to do is provide your name when checking in onsite.
I have a food allergy and I am concerned about what I can eat and drink at the tailgate. What should I do?
We have you covered! While registering for the event, please make note of your food allergy or dietary restriction. At each game, we strive to accommodate those who are gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian. If you include your dietary restriction in your registration form, we will ensure that you have something to eat and drink!
