The UNC Charlotte Alumni Association offers more than 80 alumni events each year, both on campus and in your own backyard.

These activities range from professional development and networking opportunities, to presentations by faculty and industry experts, to fun socials and volunteer activities. Participating is a great way for you to stay connected to fellow Niners, your college and the institution.

Below is a list of our confirmed upcoming events. This list is updated frequently so be sure to check back often. We hope you will join us for an upcoming event soon!

September 15 – Niner Knowledge: Admissions Insights for the Next-Gen Niner

Join us for the next event in UNC Charlotte Alumni Association’s lifelong learning program, Niner Knowledge: Admissions Insights for the Next-Gen Niner.

Get the insider edge on college admissions with an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look designed to help your future college student stand out.

September 22 – Niners on the Run

Join us and other Niners for a run/walk to engage 49er Alumni, get active and celebrate the approach of another Niner Nation Week! This run/walk will begin with a warm-up, followed by a 1 or 2 mile run/walk, ending with a cool-down and your favorite line dances, led by the MadMiles staff. All students, alumni, friends and family are invited!

Not a runner/walker? No worries! Come out, cheer on our Niner Alumni, and help us engage with the UNC Charlotte alumni community while enjoying the energy and fun of MadMiles!

September 25 – Legacy Luncheon
Legacy Family

First-year and transfer Legacy families are invited to attend the 2026 Legacy Luncheon, hosted by the Legacy Alumni Network and Office of Alumni Engagement. During this annual tradition, first-year and transfer Legacy students present their Legacy family members with a commemorative lapel pin to celebrate their shared experience as Niners!

September 26 – Alumni Tailgate (vs Louisiana)

All 49er fans are invited to join us at the Hauser Alumni Pavilion on campus! Celebrate your 49er pride with us before each home football game with mouthwatering food, drinks and exciting pre-game Niner Nation football traditions.

September 27 – Bachata Brunch

Kick off Niner Nation Week: Homecoming 2026 with sabor (flavor), ritmo (rhythm), and comunidad (community) at the 3rd Annual Bachata Brunch, hosted by the Latin A/O Alumni Network!

Enjoy a chef-curated custom brunch menu, a mimosa and sangria bar (for guests 21 and older), and dance the afternoon away with live music by DJ MVee and beginner-friendly Bachata dance instruction by RW Latin Dance.

Whether you’re reconnecting with fellow Niners, making new memories, or simply soaking up the rhythms of community, this event is the perfect way to kick off Niner Nation Week: Homecoming. All are welcome!

October 2 – BAC Homecoming History Makers’ Old School Day Party

Join the Black Alumni History Makers at the Old School Day Party for music, food, and fellowship and reconnect with the University and classmates from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. All are welcome to attend.

October 3 – BAC Green & Gold ThrowBAC

Join the Black Alumni Chapter for the Green & Gold ThrowBAC, featuring music from DJ Shogun & DJ Envy! Every ticket purchase helps raise crucial funds for the Green and Gold Trailblazers Scholarship. All are welcome to attend.

October 4 – BAC Soulful Sunday Brunch

Bring the Black Alumni Chapter Homecoming Green & Gold Reunion to a close at the farewell Soulful Sunday Brunch. Enjoy a special performance by alumni of the Children of the Sun gospel choir. All are welcome to attend.

October 30 – Class of 1977 49th Reunion

Members of the graduating class of 1977 are invited back to campus for their 49th Class Reunion. As part of the festivities, the 49th Reunion Class will be inducted into our honored Half‑Century Society: a group of alumni whose history and connection to UNC Charlotte spans 49 or more years.

The Half‑Century Society is a special group of alumni whose history and connection to UNC Charlotte spans 49 or more years. Alumni from the Classes of 1976 and earlier and one guest are invited to participate in this year’s day-long celebration.
