The UNC Charlotte Alumni Association offers more than 80 alumni events each year, both on campus and in your own backyard.

These activities range from professional development and networking opportunities, to presentations by faculty and industry experts, to fun socials and volunteer activities. Participating is a great way for you to stay connected to fellow Niners, your college and the institution.

October 30 – Class of 1977 49th Reunion
1977 Half Century

Members of the graduating class of 1977 are invited back to campus for their 49th Class Reunion. As part of the festivities, the 49th Reunion Class will be inducted into our honored Half‑Century Society: a group of alumni whose history and connection to UNC Charlotte spans 49 or more years.

2025 Half-Century

The Half‑Century Society is a special group of alumni whose history and connection to UNC Charlotte spans 49 or more years. Alumni from the Classes of 1976 and earlier and one guest are invited to participate in this year’s day-long celebration.

November 20 – 22 John Proctor Is The Villain

UNC Charlotte’s Department of Theatre brings its production of “John Proctor is the Villain,” written by Kimberly Belflower and directed by Roxanne Wellington, to the Booth Playhouse in Uptown Charlotte.

Five young women, fueled by pop music and teenage fury, begin to unravel the truths about the men in their world. Rumors and hysteria in their own small Georgia town begin to boil over, just as their English class digs into Arthur Miller’s classic, “The Crucible.” The parallels between that play and their lives are brought into sharp and dangerous focus. After all, high school can be treacherous.

“John Proctor is the Villain” premiered on Broadway in 2025 and received seven Tony Award nominations, including Best Play. It is a funny and bracing new play about girlhood, the destruction of innocence, and how we question the narratives we’ve been taught.

Content Warning: This play contains talk about sex and deals with issues of grooming and abuse.
