The Office of Alumni Engagement is excited to invite you and a guest back to campus for a special celebration of the UNC Charlotte Half-Century Society. This year, we welcome alumni from the Class of 1976 and all prior classes.

We’ve designed a day to honor your enduring connection to campus and showcase the University’s remarkable journey over the past 49+ years.

We can’t wait to welcome you home to celebrate your legacy and UNC Charlotte’s vibrant future.

All 49er fans are invited to join us at the Hauser Alumni Pavilion on campus for Alumni Tailgate!  Celebrate your 49er pride with us before each home football game with mouthwatering food, drinks and exciting pre-game Niner Nation football traditions.

Your Alumni Tailgate ticket includes TWO (2) full hours of the following for each home game:

• Games and swag giveaways!
• Full buffet, including dessert
• Beer, wine, soft drinks and bottled water
• Special “Chalk Talk” season update from a 49er Coach
• Entertainment (band or DJ!)
• Visits from our UNC Charlotte Spirit Squad, including:
• The Charlotte 49ers cheerleaders and Gold Dusters dance team

Join fellow UNC Charlotte alumni and friends in the New York City area for an evening of connection and celebration! We’re hosting a special reception on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm, at Mastro’s Steakhouse New York – and we’d love to see you there.

Enjoy an evening of reconnecting with fellow 49ers, and engaging with University administrators. Whether you’re new to the city or a longtime local, this is a great opportunity to strengthen your Niner network and hear exciting updates from campus. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.

The UNC Charlotte Alumni Association has partnered with Sports & Entertainment Travel (SET) to provide 49er alumni and fans an exciting weekend in New York City surrounding the Charlotte at Army Football Game at West Point on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Enjoy Manhattan hotel accommodations, game day ferry, welcome event, and more!

Kick-off Niner Nation Week: Homecoming 2025 with sabor (flavor), ritmo (rhythm), and comunidad (community) at the 2nd Annual Bachata Brunch, hosted by the Latinx/a/o Alumni Network!

Not only will attendees enjoy a Chef-curated custom brunch menu, tickets also include a dynamic dance performance by Rodrigo ’19 and Wendy Jimenez, co-owners of RW Latin Dance Co., and a full hour of Bachata dance instruction from the esteemed performers. Music will be provided by a live DJ spinning Bachata beats, and 21 and older attendees will enjoy a wine-based Sangria and Mimosa bar.

Whether you’re reuniting with fellow Niners, making new memories, or just soaking up the rhythms of community, this event is the perfect way to start Niner Nation Week: Homecoming.

Are you a Black alum from the 60s, 70s, or early 80s? Join your fellow Black Alumni History Makers at the Old School Day Party to reconnect with classmates and UNC Charlotte.

Tickets include heavy hors d’oeurves, one complimentary beverage, music featuring DeeJay Rob and a special program organized by the History Makers.

Join the Black Alumni Chapter for their reimagined Saturday night event! The Green & Gold ThrowBAC will feature a DJ Battle between two DJ’s while raising crucial funds for the Green and Gold Trailblazers Scholarship

Tickets include heavy hors d’oeuvres, an open bar (beer and wine only) and a DJ battle between DJ Mina and DJ CRob.         

$10 of each ticket will be donated to the Green and Gold Trailblazers Scholarship.
