Two-Night Host Family Volunteer Opportunity – September 19 – 21, 2026

UNC Charlotte is seeking families to host students from Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan, as part of an ongoing cultural exchange program, #Music! Connection through Notes. Interested families would host one or two students from Tohoku University for two nights from September 19 – 21, 2026.

2026 International Festival – September 19, 2026

Charlotte Global at UNC Charlotte is inviting alumni to participate in this year’s International Festival, taking place Saturday, September 19, 2026. The International Festival is centered around booths arranged in marketplace style representing the cultures of over 35 nations. The UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens is blooming with ongoing volunteer opportunities. Whether serving as a docent or tour guide, garden host, greenhouse host, or helping with a plant sale, volunteers help keep the Gardens thriving.
School of Nursing Learning Resource Lab – Ongoing

Volunteer in the School of Nursing cutting edge Learning Resource Center Simulation Lab. This opportunity allows alums to enhance student learning by providing insights from their professional journeys, hands-on experiences, and a supportive network that encourages growth and confidence in future nurses. You don’t have to be a nursing alum to volunteer.
Jamil Niner Student Pantry – Ongoing

The Jamil Niner Student Pantry needs volunteers like you! The mission of the Jamil Niner Student Pantry is to ensure food security, human dignity, and well-being on campus by providing in-need UNC Charlotte students with healthy, culturally appropriate emergency food.
If you are interested in volunteering, please email ninerpantry@charlotte.edu regarding possible volunteer shifts. All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes inside the Jamil Niner Student Pantry.
The pantry also welcomes donations. Visit the pantry website to learn about food and non-food items they are currently accepting.
