Alumni Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of the UNC Charlotte Alumni Association is comprised of alumni who represent the general body of alumni and at least one representative of each of the seven academic colleges of the University and the graduate school.

The application to join the Alumni Board of Directors opens on January 1 and closes on March 15 of each year.

Black Alumni Chapter

The Black Alumni Chapter (BAC) supports participation in University life and to promote the education of current black students and enhance black alumni participation through networking, communication, and program development.

GOLD Alumni Network

The GOLD Alumni Network, representing Graduates Of the Last Decade, encourages active participation in the life of UNC Charlotte, with primary emphasis on our GOLD alumni — those who have graduated  within the last 10 years — and current UNC Charlotte seniors.

Legacy Alumni Network

The UNC Charlotte Legacy Program recognizes families for making a 49er education part of their family tradition. The program is offered to encourage the 49er spirit in students who are children and/or grandchildren of UNC Charlotte graduates.

49er ACE (Alumni Campus Employees)

The 49er ACE (Alumni Campus Employees) Network supports and creates opportunities for University alumni employees. The program enhances alumni employee participation through networking, professional development, and service.

LATINX/A/O ALUMNI NETWORK

The Latinx/a/o Alumni Network encourages active participation in the life of UNC Charlotte and enhance Latinx/a/o alumni participation through networking, socials and connecting with current UNC Charlotte students, staff and faculty.

SCHOOL OF NURSING
LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER
(SIMULATION LAB)

Volunteer in the School of Nursing cutting edge Learning Resource Center Simulation Lab. This opportunity allows alums to enhance student learning by providing insights from their professional journeys, hands-on experiences, and a supportive network that encourages growth and confidence in future nurses. You don’t have to be a nursing alum to volunteer.

JAMIL NINER
STUDENT PANTRY

The Jamil Niner Student Pantry needs volunteers like you! The mission of the Jamil Niner Student Pantry is to ensure food security, human dignity, and well-being on campus by providing in-need UNC Charlotte students with healthy, culturally appropriate emergency food.
If you are interested in volunteering, please email ninerpantry@charlotte.edu regarding possible volunteer shifts. All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes inside the Jamil Niner Student Pantry.

The pantry also welcomes donations. Visit the pantry website to learn about food and non-food items they are currently accepting

UNIVERSITY CAREER CENTER

As an alum, your perspective and advice is critical for students as they prepare for their careers. There are numerous ways to volunteer with the Career Center, including Career Meet Ups, Career Treks and serving as a panelist or guest speaker.

As members of Niner Nation, your volunteer skills aren’t typical—they’re Gold Standard!


Niner Nation Serves takes place annually throughout the month of April. This is the perfect time to give back while connecting with fellow UNC Charlotte alumni, by participating in various on and off campus community service projects.

NUE Day of Service

The NUE Day of Service is held at our very own Lab School, Niner University Elementary School. This is a time for volunteers to take part in activities that aim to inspire students to care for their environment, foster a sense of stewardship and empower them to be responsible global citizens.

Belk College Day of Service projects connect alumni and students through hands-on service. “Networking in our blue jeans” promotes unique connections outside the classroom or office environment. Business Niner will partner with the community organization Keep Charlotte Beautiful for an On-Campus Cleanup project.

College of Health & Human Services Day of Service – Fight Against Hunger

Volunteers will sort, inspect and/or pack non-perishable food items for distribution to individuals and families in need through our network of emergency food pantries around Mecklenburg County.

Campus Beautification Day

The Office of Sustainability is welcoming alumni, students, faculty and staff to participate in their second annual Campus Beautification Day. This includes planting trees, picking up and sorting trash found on campus.
